MEDIA ALERT: Fujitsu Computer Systems' Richard McCormack to Speak at Next Generation Data Center Conference & Expo

SUNNYVALE, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 08/04/08 --

What: Fujitsu Senior Vice President of Marketing Richard McCormack will be speaking at the inaugural Next Generation Data CenterTM Conference & Expo (NGDCTM), an event that will focus on new technologies and their impact on the data center, covering mission-critical applications and the technology supporting those applications including power and cooling issues.

McCormack's session, "Too Much Hot Air? New Technologies Increase Data Center Density," will include real-world examples of optimizing data centers with new technologies, such as air-flow designs based on aviation technology and large diameter circular fans that run slower and quieter than turbo fans. These proven cooling technologies reduce power consumption and increase available data center real estate by as much as 20 percent.

"Any company not already focused on energy management and conservation will need to start implementing new procedures in 2009," said Melinda Kendall, vice president and general manager, Next Generation Data Center. "NGDC's Advanced Facilities Management and Planning sessions will provide key guidance on maximizing performance while minimizing power."
