Retail Ready™ was created to help you leverage the expertise of Fujitsu in supplying solutions to the retail industry worldwide. By participating in Retail Ready, you are joining the global Fujitsu network of retail professionals. You now have a way to qualify your solutions to help ensure that they operate properly with specific Fujitsu hardware configurations. Now retailers can purchase a Retail Ready solution with more confidence, resulting in increased sales for you and Fujitsu.

In addition, Retail Ready makes it easier for retailers to find their solutions. All Retail Ready solutions can be linked directly from Fujitsu Web site pages. This means that retailers looking for information on Fujitsu Retail Products will be directed to the Web pages for Retail Ready Solution Providers.

Benefits of participating in Retail Ready program

You will be able to use the following Retail Ready logo on your Web site, trade show signage and in your advertising to tell your customers that you have successfully qualified your solution against Fujitsu compatibility checklists.

The Retail Ready program provides you with several important benefits:

  • Leverage the Fujitsu brand by using the Retail Ready logo within your marketing collateral and materials. This creates differentiation and provides a competitive advantage. Current and future retail customers will recognize that a relationship exists between you and Fujitsu. They will realize that the solutions you offer meet the compatibility standards set forth for Fujitsu hardware platforms.
  • Increase visibility to retail customers. Qualifying for Retail Ready allows you increased market exposure through links from Fujitsu Web sites to your sites. Fujitsu helps you promote your achievement through press releases. Plus, the Fujitsu promotion of the Retail Ready program encourages retail customers to purchase solutions that bear these logos.
  • Create high customer satisfaction. The Retail Ready qualifying process helps you uncover potential problem issues and resolve them prior to these solutions being rolled out.
  • Take advantage of Fujitsu resources. Participating in the Retail Ready program provides you access to information, training and resources to help you meet Fujitsu compatibility requirements. Fujitsu resources are available to answer and support questions related to the qualification of Fujitsu hardware platforms. Access to the partner website supplies the tools you need for relevant marketing documentation, manuals and hardware drivers to help you through the porting phase.
  • Optimize solution performance. The Retail Ready program includes a comprehensive checklist that helps to ensure compatibility with Fujitsu platforms. You can maximize the performance of your offerings for specific Fujitsu hardware configurations.
  • Save time and money. Any solution that is pre-qualified translates to fewer help desk support calls. A pre-qualified solution can eliminate the need for last-minute application changes that could result in unforeseen problems in the future.

How to get Retail Ready qualified

Outlined below are steps required to get Retail Ready.

  • Contact channel marketing, Channel@us.fujitsu.com, to get a copy of the Retail Ready Questionnaire/Checklist that must be completed in full to achieve Retail Ready status. The first section of the questionnaire serves as the initial checklist for software providers who are applying for Retail Ready status. This must be filled out and signed by the independent software vendor prior to getting a porting date scheduled. Once the pre-qualification questionnaire (1st section of form) has been reviewed and approved by Fujitsu Channel Marketing, necessary arrangements will be made for you to facilitate porting of the application solution product on predetermined Fujitsu hardware platforms in the labs in San Diego, CA.
  • Once you have successfully ported your application solution, Fujitsu development will complete the second section of the questionnaire which contains the results of the porting activity and must be signed off by the Fujitsu Development porting team.
  • Once porting is complete, the third section of questionnaire must be completed and signed by the ISV to ensure they have exercised frequently-used customer application scenarios with the Fujitsu hardware and platforms.
  • All three sections of the Retail Ready questionnaire must be signed in order to achieve Retail Ready Status.
  • Your last step is to go to the Fujitsu Accelerator site and complete the application for Point of Sale (ISV)
  • Once complete, you will be approved as Retail Ready Solution Provider

Program Finish

Once the evaluation period has ended with the completion of the Retail Ready form and the online application, you will be provided with the following:

  • A letter congratulating you for your participation and welcoming you as a Retail Ready Solutions Provider
  • A user id/password to the Fujitsu Infinity Portal – an exclusive reseller website. This site gives you the enablement tools, programs, and resources needed to successfully market your software with Fujitsu solutions and accelerate your revenue potential.
  • A channel development executive will be assigned to you who will work with you to develop joint solutions to win in the marketplace.
  • A Retail Ready logo will be provided to you for your use in any collateral, promotional or advertising campaigns related to your application product.
  • A press release template to announce/publicize your new Retail Ready Solution Provider status. Once the press release has been issued announcing your achievement of Retail Ready status and Fujitsu receives a suitable logo from you, your Retail Ready Solution Provider’s listing will be added to the Fujitsu Web site to include your company name and a short background paragraph of information about your products. Your company name and logo will appear prominently with a link to your company Web site.

A Fujitsu 3600 PoS Series loaner machine (list price not to exceed $4K) to be used for demonstrating your software with customer prospects.

Qualifications to Become a Fujitsu Reseller

Completed/Approved Reseller Application & Contract

  • Value Add is Required
    • Software Reseller must have approved software value add; software that has achieved RetailReadystatus from Fujitsu
    • Integration End user supplying & supporting software; or pure isvselling software directly to client
  • Ability to provide Service directly to end-user (resell Fujitsu or purchase parts & sell own maintenance offerings)
  • Three Retail Customer References

Process

  • Go to online web application & fill out VAR application; a VAR contract will be sent to you following the application processs
  • Sign VAR contract
  • Once approved, you will get a e-mail letter from channels marketing
    • ID authorization number provided
    • Fujitsu Channel development executive is assigned based upon corporate headquarters location
    • Information on Infinity portal (ID & password will be sent to you in follow-up e-mail)
  • Channel website (infinity portal) ID & password sent to authorized channel partner
