NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwire) -- 02/24/09 -- Fujitsu Transaction Solutions Inc. is
unveiling a host of new "Univations" for retailers in the form of U-Serv® self-service hardware and partner software at the National Retail
Federation (NRF) 98th Annual Convention and Expo, Jan. 12-13 in New York
City.
The Fujitsu booth #411 will feature the newest U-Serv models and
applications. These include:
-
The U-Serv 50 entry-level kiosk solution, which can be configured
for countertop use or free standing on a pedestal. The U-Serv 50 will be

The U-Serv 60 will feature theater ticketing, which allows movie
patrons to forego long lines at the box office by self-ticketing with the
kiosk. Patrons can either go online and order a ticket for will call
pick-up at the kiosk, or browse the available movies and purchase on site.
Today, Regal Entertainment and AMC Entertainment, the number one and two
movie chains in the world, use Fujitsu ticketing solutions.
-
The U-Serv 75 is Fujitsu's higher-end kiosk solution. In concert
with software partner Escalate Retail, the U-Serv 75 will feature assisted
guided selling application. Guided selling allows consumers to help
themselves by simple queries and unbiased suggestions and
recommendations.
-
The U-Serv 150 exterior solution is ruggedized for outdoor use. It
features a 17" touch screen color display, card reader, omni-directional
scanner and high-end PC. The U-Serv 150 has been redesigned to make it more
affordable for more locations like stadium and concert venues. The U-Serv
150 is a Univations solution but will not be displayed at NRF.
- Med-Serv Patient Registration Kiosk. Along with sister company
Fujitsu Computer Products of America, and partner Allscripts, Fujitsu is
demonstrating a patient registration kiosk. The Med-Serv unit shows how a
patient can register and be positively identified using Fujitsu palm vein
biometric technology.
-
Fujitsu will also be demonstrating the power of multiple software
applications on the same kiosk. A U-Serv 100 kiosk under the control of St.
Clair Interactive Communication's multi-application software, will
demonstrate Treo Systems Wayfinder software and Modiv Media
DeliVision.
"Today, consumer demand for self-service options has become mandatory in
the retail environment," said Peter Wolf, vice president of self-service
