The PRIMERGY CX1000 is an innovative scale-out server infrastructure platform designed to address major environmental issues faced by large data centers: limited density of current servers due to power and heat constraints. The PRIMERGY CX1000 achieves this with a solution that is unique among PRIMERGY servers. A special rack with centralized power and front-to-top cooling provides the basic infrastructure. The sealed back on the racks allows the PRIMERGY CX1000 to be installed in a very small footprint – and to eliminate the "cool aisles" in the data center – maximizing density.

No fans are needed on the servers as the rack handles all the cooling needs with a top of rack "Cool-Central" fan unit. 38 single height unit servers provide the processing power. The servers themselves use the latest processors and deliver excellent performance and performance per watt. Together, the combination of dual processor server nodes and our innovative rack design deliver a product that will deliver cost savings due to dramatic improvements in power consumption and heat, plus a dramatic savings in data center space. It is the perfect platform for enterprises and their cloud, hosting, or high performance computing data center applications.
